As a Torah observant family we are excited for this global vision coming to life as we have no local ministry that can truly share this belief. Solidarity whether from close or through technology is a powerful encouraging thing.

I had a vision about 2 or 3 months ago about what can be done to have unity within the body as a 1st priority. I feel it would be such a blessing to see the leadership of many smaller groups come together as ONE... I know the word tells us that this will happen. It is about building up the whole body not just small independent groups that do not even know each other. The how, when, and plan I do not know yet, but feel it is coming soon, and I look forward to being part of that coming together...

In this edition, we want to focus on the Greek word "koinonia." This word is found again and again in the book of Acts and is used to describe the unity of the early congregation of believers in Yerushalyim. It speaks of a oneness of mind and purpose, a unity and agreement in the Spirit, and a care and loving concern the believers had and expressed for one another. This is not a dynamic that can be worked up in the flesh, but is the outcome of the Set-apart Spirit at work in the lives of the believers - something the Scripture promises can happen even today.
Romans 5:5 And expectation does not disappoint,because the love of Elohim has been poured out in our hearts by the Set-apart Spirit which was given to us.
"Koinonia" is a deep, very real and undeniable love for YAH, His Word, fellow believers, and the lost made possible by the Set-apart Spirit. This is not a natural love that is common to all men, but a supernatural love that is uncommon, even among those who profess to be believers. This love is only available to those who embrace the Set-apart Spirit fully and endeavor "to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.". The good news is, koinonia is available to believers today and it's the driving force that empowers the body of Messiah as we endeavor to fulfill the Great Commandment of Yeshua to "go into all the world and preach the good news to every creature."
Notice how "koinonia" is described in this passage:
Acts 2:42 And they were continuing steadfastly in the teaching of the emissaries, and in the fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers. (43) And fear (awe and reverence) came upon every being, and many wonders and signs were being done through the emissaries. (44) And all those who believed were together, and had all in common, (45) and sold their possessions and property, and divided them among all, as anyone might have need.(46) And day by day, continuing with one mind in the Set-apart Place, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, (47) praising Elohim and having favor with all the people.And the Master added to the assembly those who were being saved, day by day.
Wow! This says it all! The early believers were unified and empowered by supernatural "koinonia" and continued without fail in the teaching of the Truth, in fellowship with other believers, in eating meals together, and in prayers. These four things were the key to the success of the body of Messiah in those days, and we too, if we engage without ceasing in these same four things, will get the same powerful results.
Then notice how they loved and cared for one another with a supernatural love from Elohim. Their love for each other superseded any desire for personal wealth. They were self-sacrificing in their giving to satisfy the needs of the body. With selfless giving like that, you know it was from the Spirit!
Then the Scripture says they continued, without ceasing, in oneness of vision and purpose, worshiping corporately and meeting from house to house, eating meals together, and worshiping Elohim, inviting people to join their fellowship of love, and here's the most wonderful thing, "the Master added to the assembly those who were being saved, day by day." The greatest soul-winning tool they had was the supernatural love given to them by the Set-apart Spirit. Koinonia was the unstoppable force behind the growth of the body in the first century - and it's the same force of power that will fuel this end time harvest as well.
